Grey Resistance Indivisible was so happy to be included in the biweekly visit to our MOC's offices. We visited Representative Denny Heck's office in Lacey, Washington with Lucy Winter from Olympia Indivisible on October 2nd. We were well prepared thanks to Lucy's prior prep to discuss our concerns about health, education, immigration, upcoming & current Bills in congress & to thank Representative Heck for his support & continued efforts to protect our democracy & humanitarian aid. Representative Heck's District Director, Phil Gardner, & his District Representative, Dallas Roberts, were welcoming, attentive & proactive. They were on it, as we are!
On October 31 w/ Carla Wulfsberg from O.I, we met w/ Senator Cantwell's South Sound Outreach Director, Rosa McLeod, & Senator Murray's South Sound Regional Director, Kierra Phifer. We discussed Puerto Rico, the Dales Dam Tribal House Village Development Plan & the loss of tribal homes & villages. We also supported Senator Murray & 9 other Senators sending a letter to Ryan Zinke asking for an analysis & justification re the proposed entrance fee increases for our national parks. We had questions about Wilbur Ross for the Office of Government Ethics & his hidden assets. We shared our concerns about cyber attacks, the budget & health care. It was a wonderful educational experience, & it was inspiring to share our thanks & concerns w/ this committed group of individuals.
