Today we start what we hope will become a new blog series. We know that our members are all out there doing important work above and beyond their work with Olympia Indivisible. Yesterday I posed the question in our Facebook Group about what kind of things our members are involved in and received a response. No names will be shared but we hope that more of our members will be willing to share their stories. Meanwhile here's our first story.
This is what I care about and what I am doing in addition to being on the Olympia Indivisible Research Team. I became a reluctant activist after the November election. I support Planned Parenthood with donations and by attending rallies. I support and belong to WA education Facebook group ‘Washington’s Paramount Duty’ and recently testified at the Capital on 4/3/17 for Education funding bill HB 2186. I belong to a twitter group which sends anti-GOP tweets with information from reputable sources and scolds the media when they have misleading headlines.
Feel like sharing your story? What issues are important to you? Why do you continue to fight? Tell us about your successes. Let's show each other and the larger world what keeps us engaged in the process. Find me on Facebook and tell me your story. (Nono)
